Milford Edwards, Sr.
Radio Broadcaster and
Innovator
Milford
Edwards,Sr.
is a 35-year veteran of radio broadcasting,
and a pioneer and innovator. As a radio broadcast consultant, he has over
thirty years of experience in the development and establishment of
concepts in radio broadcasting. Edwards is a pioneer and innovator
in the use of technology for international broadcasting and
programming concepts.
His media production company, IMEL Productions, is used creatively
for news, informative, and cultural programming geared toward the
Caribbean Diaspora.
His background includes extensive knowledge of reggae music and the
Rastafarian culture. As well, he has interviewed reggae artists of
international prominence, including, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer,
Culture, Ziggy Marley and Third World. His radio programs, seminars
and published articles are centered on his first-hand accounts of
their lives as it pertains to reggae and The Rastafarian culture.
He
also serves as General Manager of WDJZ radio in Bridgeport,
Connecticut, a successful multicultural leased time station.
Milford resides in New York with his family, and continues to be an
inspiration to members of the Caribbean communities both in the
United States and abroad. |
